Got the basic crochet skills, and want to try something new?  How about learning to work with recycled T-shirt yarn - it's literally the trimmings from the European textile industry!

In this workshop you will crochet a useful basket - the final size will depend on the speed of workshoppers, but expect to make one approx 10cm  in depth and height.  The large basket with handles in the final image is just for inspiration!

Learn how to:

  • make a magic ring
  • crochet in the round
  • do waistcoat stitch (and other modern style stitches - time allowing)

The yarn supplied is recycled T-shirt yarn (waste from the European Textile Industry) - it's the AHSC way!  Workshop also includes a recycled cotton project bag, and optional 8-12mm crochet hook. 

The workshop fee includes tea or coffee and cake or biscuits during the essential break! 

Maximum session size is 4 to 5 - to ensure sufficient individual guidance during the session.

Location: During the warmer months these workshops take place in my garden studio in Chesterton, Oxon.  This gives us the option to crochet outside also, where there is a shade or sun option (depending on the weather!).  I will send you details for directions and parking etc, once your booking is confirmed.
