***DATES AMENDED - due to Spring Bank Holiday!
Please note the course will NOT run on Bank Holidays nor during Half Term***
Have you never ever crocheted before or you learnt a long time ago and need taking back to basics?
Finding it hard to follow along with videos online? Learning in person is the very best way and don't worry if you're left or right handed - I have plenty of experience teaching both.
Come and learn to crochet at The Grain Store (Middle Aston, Oxfordshire) - over 5 x 1.5 hour sessions you will learn all the basic skills at a lovely relaxed pace, to include:
- how to hold the yarn and hook;
- chain, double crochet, treble crochet, turn, edge;
- slip stitch, half treble crochet and double treble crochet
- how to follow simple patterns to make small projects like a cute pouch, mug rug, facecloth, flower etc.
The Course Dates are:
Session 1: Monday 12th May 2025: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Session 2: Monday 19th May 2025: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Session 3: Monday 2nd June 2025: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Session 4: Monday 9th June 2025: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Session 5: Monday 16th June 2025: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
If you aren't sure if crochet is for you - book Monday 12th May as a taster session. We can sort out the additional sessions when you've done the taster and are happy to continue.
ALL materials are supplied, including recycled cotton yarn, a 5mm crochet hook, a recycled cotton project bag and simple crochet patterns.
The maximum session size will be 10, to ensure sufficient individual guidance during the session.
Don't forget: you'll be in the right place to fuel your crochet mind and fingers - The Grainstore has gorgeous cakes, coffees and lots more and it is set in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside! It's only half an hour from central Oxford and 20 minutes from Bicester (or Bicester Village if you're in the mood for a shop!)
